Art + Logo Requirements
Art + Logo Requirements
To create a stunning award or recognition piece, please provide us with the highest quality image files available. Ideal files are clean black & white vector formats. Our preferred formats are .EPS or .AI files. All artwork should be CMYK and at least 150 dpi, 300 dpi is recommended. Artwork dimensions should be sized for the area where it will be printed. Scaling artwork is not recommended as it can create pixelation thereby reducing the quality of the printed image.
We can also convert raster images to vector artwork if needed. A $50/per half hour fee will be added to your invoice for this service.
Preferred Formats:
- Vector files from Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop.
Acceptable File Formats:
- .AI, or .EPS
Requirements:
- Convert all fonts to curves or outlines (or supply the necessary fonts).
- Ensure no linked or embedded objects are in your file.
- For engraving and single-color imprints, graphics should be black and white.
- Acceptable raster formats include .JPG or .PNG, but a conversion fee will apply if these need to be vectorized.
Email files to shop@cristaux.com and reference your order number.
Trademarks: All liability for required trademarks on submitted art and copy rests solely with the customer, not, Cristaux, Inc. For further clarification of our policies please defer to our Terms of Use.
Virtual Samples: Virtual samples are provided at no charge when accompanied with proper logos and personalization. Excessive revisions may be subject to an art charge at a rate of $50/per half hour.

Font Requirements & Suggestions
Size: Varies by font choice. Contact our customer service team for specific font sizes.
Style: Bold, open, sans serif fonts are best for sandblasting.
Avoid: Many script fonts are not suitable for etching, even at larger sizes.
Brand Fonts: If we do not have the requested font, we will substitute the closest match or use a font provided via email, subject to usability.
Note: Simple, bold-sans-serif fonts are recommended. Many serif fonts contain marks that will not etch properly. If copy is sent with artwork, remember to send it in outlines or accompanied with the font file. Small marks such as registration, copyright, or trademark need to be enlarged, deleted or turned into a dot.
3D Awards
For our 3D awards, we can work with vector formats of your logo and text, or with files such as .DXF, .OBJ, .STL, .MAX, .3DS. Ensure all objects are grouped together in one file.
We can also convert some images to 3D files or purchase stock 3D files from a library. Contact us for more details.
Engraving A Picture
To engrave a picture, we use a halftone conversion process, transforming your image into a composition of small dots to create a photo-realistic engraving. Provide a high-resolution image (minimum 300 dpi). Contact our customer service team for more information. Halftone conversion fee: $50/per half hour. Conversion time will vary dependent on the artwork.
Note: The customer accepts that any submitted material complies with all laws and assumes liability for any intellectual property violations. Cristaux, Inc is indemnified against any claims regarding intellectual property. Additional charges may apply for more than one original art proof and reproof.
